My book is done done done!
I'm finally to the point where I no longer want
to tweak and obsess over it; I just want to get
it out there.  I've recently submitted it to
Graywolf Press, a small publishing company
who welcomes new writers.  I'll find out in
February if my book was accepted by them--if
not, self-publishing, here I come!  I'll add
snippets from the book onto this page soon
to give you a feel for what's in the book, but
I'd be an idiot to post the whole thing here,
right?!
RECENTLY WRITTEN AND/OR SUBMITTED PIECES:

The Temporary Temp (Submitted to The Chicago Reader)

Living for Today (Submitted to "This I Believe" on National
                              Public Radio)
Miscellaneous Essays

Winter in Chicago(submitted to NPR)

One-Track Mind Derailed(read on NPR)

The Grammar Police Go Out for Hot Dog's

A quick blurb about nonfiction...It's obviously based on true events, feelings or perspectives,
but it can also be journalistic, almost a report that also includes personal reflection.   My book
Sunbathing in a Body Cast is all creative nonfiction comprised mostly of short memoir pieces.
Other pieces on this page are miscellaneous pieces I've written and sometimes submitted to
literary journals or public radio.
Please feel free to send me any feedback you might have--good and bad!  Thanks for reading!
